As a vital part of Victory Family Church, we expect you to live a life STRIVING to be more like Jesus in thought and action. We live our lives according to a biblical standard. (1 Pet. 1:15-16)
In reality, when people see us we represent Christ. The way people perceive us is the way they will perceive our God. (2 Cor. 5:20)
All of our leaders should commit to a high moral standard and a disciplined life of:
- Bible reading (2 Tim. 3:16-17)
- Praying (1 Thess. 5:17)
- Tithing (2 Cor. 9:6-8, Malachi 3:8-10)
- Fasting (Acts 14:23)
- Protecting the unity of the body of Christ (1 Cor. 1:10).
You are expected to refrain from such things as:
- Profanity (Col. 3:8)
- Ill-gotten Gain/Gambling (Prov. 10:2)
- Alcohol (1 Cor. 6:10)
- Illegal Drugs (1 Cor. 3:17)
- Gossip (Eph. 4:29)
- Pornography (Matt. 5:28)
- Sexual Immorality (1 Cor. 6:9-10)(1 Cor. 6:18-20)
- Any behavior which might cause Christ to grieve and others to stumble (1 Cor. 8:9-13)
- Entering any new dating relationships (Incoming/First Year Students)
By being an example, we encourage others to grow in Christ and become servant leaders themselves. This is a way of life measured by the heart and commitment of each leader in our Church family. We need to see this as an essential part of our development, not as a set of rules or restrictions. (Eph. 4:14-15)
