Serve Area Descriptions
Gift Sorting & Setup - Gift sorting and setup will be done the week of the event, Monday - Thursday from 9am - 3pm. Toys will be separated by age and gender and moved to the inventory area in each shopping room. Shopping rooms, gift wrapping, refreshments area, etc will be set up. This is a great team to serve on if you have limited time.
Check-In - As parents/guardians arrive based on their time, they will need to check in and receive more information about the process they will be participating in.
Gift Attendant - Upon checking in, parents/guardians will be assigned a gift attendant who will escort them through the building to shop and help them make decisions on picking out the right toys for their children.
Gift Runner - After parents/guardians have chosen a child’s gifts, a gift runner takes the bag of gifts to the gift wrapping/holding area.
Gift Wrapping - As simple as it sounds! Help wrap the chosen gifts and make them so special to open on Christmas Day.
Gift Check Out - When parents/guardians are ready to exit the building, gift check out will help the parent or guardian load their gifts into the vehicle and will escort them back into the building to check out their children.
Childcare - Some parents/guardians may bring their children while shopping. Childcare providers will spend time with the children and help them create a gift for their parent/guardian. In most cases, the children do not know why they are here.
Refreshments - We will have a waiting area for parents/guardians while their gifts are being wrapped and will have a volunteer lunch area. We will need volunteers to oversee these areas.
